Our Mission & Values
Who are we? United Beginnings Initiative is a community-based initiative dedicated to expanding access to immigration legal services for individuals and families who may otherwise be unable to afford legal representation.
The Initiative assists eligible individuals in accessing free immigration legal services. All legal consultations, legal advice, case evaluation, and legal representation are provided exclusively by Attorney Madeleine Moreno through Moreno Law Office LLC after a matter has been reviewed and accepted.
Attorney Madeleine Moreno serves as Supervising Attorney of United Beginnings Initiative and maintains responsibility for all legal services provided through Moreno Law Office LLC.
Non-attorney coordinators, staff, and student volunteers may assist with community outreach and appropriate administrative activities under attorney supervision. They do not provide legal advice, evaluate legal options, determine eligibility for immigration benefits or other legal relief, make decisions regarding legal representation, or represent individuals in legal proceedings.
Submitting an inquiry, contacting United Beginnings Initiative, providing information or documents, participating in an initial screening, or visiting Moreno Law Office LLC does not create an attorney-client relationship and does not guarantee that a matter will be accepted.
An attorney-client relationship is established only when Attorney Madeleine Moreno, through Moreno Law Office LLC, expressly accepts a matter for representation in writing and the scope of legal services is identified in the applicable engagement documentation.
Our mission is to promote meaningful access to justice while treating every individual with dignity, compassion, and respect.
United Beginnings Initiative is a community initiative and is not a law firm. Legal advice and legal representation are provided exclusively by Attorney Madeleine Moreno through Moreno Law Office LLC.
Common Questions
What services do you offer?
United Beginnings Initiative helps eligible individuals access free immigration legal services provided exclusively by licensed attorneys.
Depending on the circumstances of the individual case, attorney availability, and acceptance of the matter, legal services may include assistance with family-based immigration, asylum, citizenship and naturalization, and other immigration matters.
Only licensed attorneys provide legal advice, evaluate legal options, determine available legal remedies, and provide legal representation. Non-attorney coordinators, staff, and student volunteers do not provide legal advice or legal representation.
All requests for assistance are subject to attorney review and acceptance. Contacting the Initiative, completing a screening, or requesting assistance does not create an attorney-client relationship or guarantee representation.
How do I schedule an appointment?
To request an appointment or initial screening, please contact us at contact@ubimmigration.com.
A member of the United Beginnings Initiative team may respond regarding availability, screening, and next steps. Communications from non-attorney team members are for administrative and screening purposes and do not constitute legal advice.
Submitting an appointment request or participating in an initial screening does not create an attorney-client relationship or guarantee legal advice or representation.
Legal consultations, legal advice, case evaluation, and representation are provided only by licensed attorneys after the matter has been reviewed and accepted.
What documents do I need to have?
The documents needed depend upon the individual immigration matter. If available, you may be asked to provide documents such as passports, birth certificates, marriage certificates, immigration notices, prior applications or petitions, and other records related to your immigration history.
Please do not send original documents unless specifically requested.
If your matter is accepted for legal services, a licensed attorney will advise you regarding the documents required for your particular matter. Providing documents or information to United Beginnings Initiative does not create an attorney-client relationship or guarantee legal representation.
